Donna, David & Debbi

Tell us about your childhood home.

We lived in great Falls in three different places before kindergarten my favorite was by a park and candy store I was 4 when we moved there.
Then we moved to Glengarry went to country school and then we moved to new trailer in North Dakota, an old trailer in South Dakota.  Then we built a house. Mom and Dad decided we were moving to Montana I was 12
This was a lot of moving and I'm sure divorce twice in 14 years each got remarried.

When I was 4th grade we lived in a trailer park in South Dakota I used to weed flower gardens sometimes I traded for doll clothes but would get a dollar or two had five or six client's. I worked as a bus boy at Yoga Inn and then as a car hop at A&W before graduation. I also stacked hay for Grandpa Best. - Grandma Donna

Depends on what you call a job. I worked on Grandpa Dale's ranch starting at about age 12. When I turned 16 got a job in town at the honey ranch. It was a bit sticky job and lasted about 2 weeks. -Uncle Mike

Who's the oldest relative you remember (and what do you remember about him or her)?
Granny 98.7 grandma best was 97.9 I'm thinking they were both strong women born before 1915 Julia best would have been 100th birthday on Jan 16th 1916. -Grandma Donna

Would of been my great granddad Perry Best.don't know why but he lived in this huge house with a curved staircase leading to upstairs which fascinated me. -Uncle Mike

What were your favorite subjects in school? Please explain why.

History takes you places math because it was easy to get A's loved reading but never could spell or write a good paper so hard to do good if you can't spell in my day no spell checking science was cool like math it was easy geography best stuff covers all subjects-Graphs maps statistics and history and economic growth - Grandma Donna

My favorite subjects were American History because I was always interested in where we come from or what it was like in pioneer days. And I probably have to say wood shop because I always liked building things- Uncle Mike
